SATCH CARES GRANTS 2025
RUFC AWARDS first half of 2025
Satchel's awarded more than $14,000 in the first half of 2025 to several of our community nonprofits, schools and organizations. A big portion came from YOU, our beautiful customers who Round Up For Charity when paying their tabs at Satchel's.
GOOD WORK GAINESVILLE! THANK YOU!!!
RUFC January and February $2195 was awarded to Florida Springs Council Advocating for our beautiful natural springs.
RUFC March and April $2411 was raised for Working Food Who cultivates and sustains a resilient local food community in North Central Florida through collaboration, economic opportunity, education, and seed stewardship. From seed to plate, we are growing a robust local food system!
RUFC May and June $2890 went to the Southern Legal Counsel S SLC primarily assists individuals and groups with public interest issues who otherwise would not have accuess to the justice system and whose cases may bring about systemic reform.
SATCH CARES Q1 2025 was awarded to several local organizations.
$500 to Out East Gainesville Kings OutEast Gainesville Kings is a Nationally recognized, not-for-profit youth basketball organization focused on the complete development of each athlete. Our coaches focus on mentorship, hard work, maintaining a winning attitude, and cultivating an athletic community that feels like family
$1000 to One Room Schoolhouse The One Room School House Project (ORSH), established in 1997, is Gainesville’s first public charter school offering a small and nurturing environment for students in grades VPK through 5th.
$500 to Equal Access Clinic Equal health care access for all.
$1500 to Peak Literacy This organization provies one to one tutoring to help kids achieve grade-level reading shills so that they have the tools they need to succeed.
$500 to BLSSD FUTURE Blssd Future and Teach Me to Cance Sunday Line Dance Day at Bo Diddley Plaza was a success! Community building at its very best!
SATCH CARES Q2 2025 was awarded to three community partners
$2000 to The Repurpose Project The Repurpose Project Community Center prmotoes togetherness, creativity, art, music and play that is disappearing in our modern world of technology and consumerish. This is an event space centered around ways to tread lightly on the planet and focus on things that really matter: quality experiences, commuity, art, music and creativity.
$1000 to Puppy Hill Farm Puppy HIll Farm is an animal rescue organization whose mission is to rescue dogs, cats, puppies and kittens in need and adpot them into loving, responsible homes. They work closely with Animal Services in Alachua, Bradford, Levy and Union counties to reduce euthenasias at county shelters.
$500 to Peaceful Paths Peaceful Paths is the only certified domestic violence center serving Alachua, Bradford and Union Counties, and it has earned state recognition for its diligent, successful work.
Satchel's Lunch for the popular summer camp We Rock Gainesville This week-long camp is open to girls and gender-expansive youth ages 10-17. They focus on teaching self-esteem, confidence, communication and creativity through music education. Each camper is grouped in a band, rehearses through the week, then performs on a local live stage for their peers and families.
