                                      Grant Recipients
The Giving Committe selected Four Local Nonprofits as recipients 
to receive a total of $3000 in grants

 Satch Cares 1st Quarter 2026

Gainesville Opportunity Center  - GOC empowers adults living with diagnosed mental illness to achieve recovery through work. GOC is a community-partnership program where adults whose lives have been affected by mental illness come voluntarily to rebuild their lives. GOC operates an accredited “clubhouse” modeled program, an award-winning, evidenced-based approach to self-directed recovery. GOC helps people with mental illnesses realize goals of social, financial, educational, and vocational independence.

Blossoming Butterfly  Blossoming Butterfly Inc.,  is a nonprofit organization dedicated to education and empowerment—not medical advice—so that every cancer warrior feels seen, supported, and strengthened. BB supports individuals and families impacted by breast, ovarian, and uterine cancer by providing financial relief, wellness and recovery resources, and emotional care. From housing and utility assistance to wigs, lymphedema sleeves, counseling, and community support, BB walks alongside survivors every step of their journey. 

Florida KidSight   In Partnership with the Lions of Florida & the Bahamas, Florida KisSIght provides leadership and infrastructure for the screening of children (ages 1 through 6) to enhance the early detection and treatment of vision impairments. Florida KidSight is a FREE vision screening program administered by the Florida KidSight Foundation and Lions Club volunteers to detect vision problems that can cause Amblyopia (lazy eye) in chidren between 1 and 6 years old.

SNAP   Stop Now And Plan is an evidence-based, cognitive behavioral model powered by the minds at Child Development Institute (CDI). SNAP® helps troubled children and their parents learn how to effectively manage their emotions and ‘keep problems small’.  SNAP® for Schools & Communities is an educational curriculum provided in elementary schools focusing on topics such as  managing anger, handling peer pressure and dealing with bullying with the overall goal of increasing productive school attendance.
