Third & Fourth Quarter Satch Cares Grants 2022

and RUFC AWARDS second half of 2022

AND RUFC partners for 2023

Satchel's awarded more than $10,000 in the secong half of 2022 to several amazing local nonprofits, schools and organizations in our community. Half of which came from our amazing customers who Round Up For Charity when paying their tabs at Satchel's. GOOD WORK GAINESVILLE! THANK YOU!!!

RUFC July and August   $2898 for Keepers of the Springs rounds up volunteers to clean trash from our local Springs. In five years they have removed 8,000 pounds of debris.

RUFC September and October   $2620 was raised for Community Weatherization Coalition (CWC) is a grassroots community coalition made up of citizens, religious leaders, and NGOs concerned about Alachua County citizens spending a large percentage of their income on home energy bills. 

RUFC November and December    $2542 went to the  Southern Legal Counsel who uses the power of the law to obtain positive social change, reform systems and institutions, strike down unjust laws and policies, and hold government accountable to the people.

SATCH CARES Q3 2022  was awarded to two local organizations.

$1000 to Acorn Clinic The Alachua County Organization for Rural Needs, Inc. ACORN Clinic is a nationally-recognized program that provides low-cost medical, dental and social services care to residents of North Central Florida

$250 to Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo The Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo, a unique 10-acre zoo in Gainesville, Florida, is the only zoo on a college campus accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA).

SATCH CARES Q4 2022  was awarded to three community partners

$500 to Grow Hub  Grow-Hub is a beautiful and safe place where adults of all abilities can find meaningful work. Their collaborative community programs and partnerships provide opportunities and experiences they ofter cannot find elsewhere.

$500 to One Love Prison Meditation OLPM provides the necessary emotional and spiritual support to those in prison. The meditations offered create an experience of peace and lightness. The students are able to live more positively in challenging circumstances.

$650 to  Gainesville Giving Garden    GGG bridges the gap between underserved neighbors and local, organic produce by growing and distributing vegetables to those without access to fresh local food.
